about parnassus nump

John created Parnassus Nump in 1998 with his debut release, Immersion. A cat in the Philip K. Dick Novel, Eye In the Sky, serves as the namesake for the label. In mythology, Mt. Parnassus was the home of the muses, a center of creativity. The etymology for nump has been more elusive, but seems to imply dolt or idiot.
